Signs, Signs, Everywhere are Signs...
Wood. Paint. Stencils. Letters. And more of the same. I'm neck-deep in sign orders thanks to my November sale, but having a great time making all these custom signs! Here's a peek at several in-progress (before the "weathering" process):

And that's just one batch! :) Here's hoping for good painting weather over the next week!
Bigger *is* Better
I made this sign a couple of weeks ago and decided it was too small and that I needed a larger version for our dining room. Just in time for Thanksgiving, I got it finished and hung up and it looks just perfect hanging above our dining room table:

Evidently our dining room is an impossible room to photograph. This is the best I could do. but I did include a couple of our counted blessings in the photo. ;)

Just "BE"
Though I'm no longer working at Maurices (it was just too hard on our family for me to be gone all weekend), I wanted to leave a little piece of me at the store. So as a thank you to the staff for the great time I had working there, I made this sign to hang above the back room door:

It follows the motivational theme for the year for employees and though the photo doesn't show it all that well, it's also made in Maurices colors - turquoise and gray. I went by the store yesterday to visit and it was hanging up. Made me happy. :)
So happy I volunteered to be in a "Rescues and Runways" fashion show for them next weekend. Oh boy! Me, walking a dog on a runway? Sounds ridonculous -- but fun! Come see me at Pet-a-Palooza at Veteran's Park in Hoover, AL next Saturday at 11am! I'll also be donating a "Signs by Andrea" gift certificate to the silent auction.
give MUCH gather OFTEN greet MANY
This lovely sign that I made was purchased as a housewarming gift. As usual, with all my custom orders, I loved the challenges it presented and was especially pleased with the result!
I also love the saying, kind of a family mantra and good rules to live by.
What's YOUR family mantra?

Unique Personalized Signs
I love when people order signs and have great new ideas for me! It makes creating peronalized signs so much fun! Then each sign really is one-of-a-kind.
I'm in love with this design in particular: What a fun way to personalize! Just think of the possibilities!

And finally, finally, it looks as though the fall is making an appearance here in Birmingham, AL. About time!

Outdoor Kitchen Backsplash
A few weeks ago I got to work on a very cool sign project. My customer wanted something unique to use as a backsplash for an outdoor kitchen he was building. They tried the store-bought vinyl letters with the quote "may all who enter as guests, leave as friends", but weren't happy with the quality, so they commissioned me to paint it for them. It was a tricky project, with several layers of color and different fonts, but it was so fun to see the finished project come together:
